Advice on scrapbooking effects

Does anybody know of good GIMP tutorials (or have good advice they want to post) for scrap-book like effects, like "raised stickers", "paper cut outs", and "fun paper textures"?

I couldn't find any tutes using specifically GIMP, but this site has some tutorials using Photoshop. I don't know how translatable they will be, but it's somewhere to start.

As for the actual paper textures, there are a lot of them on DeviantArt. See if any of these would help?
