Admin Post: Follow-up on the last poll

Thanks everyone who participated in the poll I'd posted a few weeks ago. I'll leave the poll open so that new members and subscribers can participate as well if they want to, and those of you who have participated can always go back and change your vote. I'd like the poll to exist as a community resource, as a reflection of the community's 'mind & skill state' so to speak...

I'd also like to encourage everyone to post your questions here, no matter how trivial or banal they might appear. This isn't supposed to be a community where only fancy tutorials or other advanced topics are 'worthy' of posting. You're a beginner and don't know where to start? Ask! You've seen this beautiful header but have no idea how to achieve a similar effect? Ask! Really, there are no 'stupid' questions, and snarky, rude or sarcastic comments will not be tolerated here. Just saying :)

What're the best, easiest-to-follow, most comprehensive series of online tutorials available for both GIMP and Inkscape?

CreativeNerds has a pretty good list of GIMP tutorials, and this blog has some nice Inkscape tutorials. But I don't know if they are "the best, easiest-to-follow, most comprehensive series of online tutorials available". Why don't you post your question to the community here, maybe other users prefer other tutorial websites?

Also, you can find a larger number of tutorial websites & blogs via delicious.com/gimpgate/tutorials, but most of them are for GIMP, not Inkscape. I haven't really had the time yet to add more Inkscape-related resources to the link collection, but it's on my to-do list. If you happen to find a good resource, please feel free to share it with us :)
